Still time to enter our "Fall in CT" photo contest

HARTFORD, CONN., November 8, 2013 – There still is time for Autumn lovers to enter the Central Regional Tourism District/ “Fall in Connecticut” photo contest. Photographers of any skill are invited to take part in the regionwide “contest. The Central Regional Tourism District represents 65 Connecticut towns and cities.

“Entrants are encouraged to snap photos of everything Fall, such as foliage, pumpkins and anything else you find appealing,” explains Anne Orsene, Executive Director of the Central Regional Tourism District. “Then, go on line and simply pin one or more photos on Pinterest ( with the hashtag #FallinCT and a caption that includes ‘Center of CT photo contest’.”

The deadline for all photo submissions is Friday, November 15, 2013. The Central Regional Tourism District will review all submissions and select one First Place winner whose photo and name will be highlighted in its 2014 Visitors Guide – in print and on! The Tourism District might post its other favorite images on line and on social media sites.

The Central Regional Tourism District ( covers 65 towns and cities located along the Connecticut River, which winds its way from Greater New Haven and the Long Island Sound over hills and rolling valleys, through the capital city of Hartford, and up to the Massachusetts border. Its goal is to increase the number of visits to River Valley/Connecticut and Greater New Haven/Connecticut regions, thereby resulting in revenue growth.
