Bushnell Park Carousel

                              Located in Hartford’s oldest public park, the vintage carousel is among only 200 (out of 6,000) remaining in the country that were made between 1890 and 1920. View map and address

Connecticut Science Center

At the Connecticut Science Center, visitors of all ages get hands-on with more than 150 exhibits. There’s also a 3D digital theater, educational labs and daily programs and events. View map and address

Harriet Beecher Stowe House

Tour the Stowe House to get a glimpse into the life of the Uncle Tom’s Cabin author. Family furniture and photos, souvenirs from their travels and Stowe’s own oils and watercolors are all on display. View map and address

Hill-Stead Museum

A historic home and art museum in one, the Hill-Stead allows for up-close artwork viewing within an early 20th-century home setting. The museum is best known for its collection of French Impressionist paintings, which includes masterpieces by Edgar Degas and Claude Monet. View map and address

Mark Twain House & Museum

Explore the home where Twain wrote some of his most famous works, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. In the museum and visitor center, explore special exhibits related to Twain’s life and the time in which he lived. View map and address
