The Cornfest features: Inflatables, Bouncy houses, pony rides, hay rides, fair food, local cuisine, face painter, henna, crafters, and local businesses! The Entertainment showcases local groups from the high school's band & chorus, dance studios. Sure to be a fun day for all.

Holidaze:  The Real Story of Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas

Explore the origins and myths of our most popular holidays. Hands-on activities include trying on Halloween costumes, a trivia challenge, and writing letters to Santa. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations for UNICEF, the Guilford Food Bank, and Toys for Tots. Admission to the exhibit also includes self-guided tours of the 1639 Whitfield House.

Pipes in the Valley Celtic Festival
September 26; 11 am-10 pm (Rain or Shine)

Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Hartford
The pipes summon the Highlands to Hartford for the main event!  Guests will experience the spirit of the Highlands, along with top traditional and Celtic rock bands on two stages, Highland athletic games, step dancing, bag pipers, birds of prey, Highland cows, kids’ activities, puppetry and storytelling, sword demonstrations, Celtic food, and plenty of Ten Penny Ale.

Pumpkins on the Pier Festival
October 17; 11 am – 8:30 pm

Walnut Beach, Milford
Pick the perfect pumpkin, decorate it and then enter it in the decorating or carving contests, and be part of the Pumpkin Pier Promenade.  Family activities, games, face painting, hay maze, laser light show and arts and crafts vendors.  Something for the entire family.

Pumpkins on the Point

This special event, located on the Waterfront Terrace and marina docks, is open to the public and admission is free of charge. Hundreds of carved pumpkins will be lit at the event where guests can watch pumpkin carving demonstrations and savor seasonal delights while children can embark on a Trick or Treat trail,  have their face painted or dance to the sounds of the D.J.  Explore Saybrook Point on a hayride,  enjoy the photo booth, games, farmer’s market, pumpkin painting, and cemetery tour.  Call or visit website for information on the Pumpkins on the Point After Party.
